ARTIST BIO
Sarah Bouchard is a multimedia artist who works with photography, paint, collage, sculpture and installation. Bouchard has exhibited her work throughout the United States and may be found in select private and corporate collections.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a feminist, process-driven artist with a passion for minimalist monumental sculpture and installation. There is usually a strong conceptual component to my work, although this dense mental matter often hides beneath a seemingly clean visual presentation.
I am an introspective artist, working primarily in solitude. I am thoroughly taken with anything involving the use of my hands, making materials integral to anything I do. I am moved by texture and pattern, as well as subtle shifts in color, light and sound. I am drawn toward unlikely juxtapositions that bring about a shift in perception.
